Product Description
Water walls are heating components composed of multiple rows of steel pipes vertically arranged along the inner wall of boiler furnaces. They absorb high-temperature flame radiation heat to evaporate the working fluid inside the pipes while reducing furnace wall temperature. Available in three structural types:
  • Light tube type: Parallel-arranged seamless steel pipes
  • Membrane type: Welded fin sealed tube screens
  • Piercing tube type: Pin-installed pipes for refractory material application and heat absorption regulation
These components serve dual functions: initially for furnace cooling, now as core heat absorption elements capable of absorbing 40-50% of furnace heat in large boilers. Subcritical and higher parameter boilers require internally threaded pipes or Cr-Mo alloy steel pipes. Proper maintenance is essential to prevent external dust/slag accumulation and internal scaling, which can reduce heat transfer efficiency or cause pipe bursts. DC boiler water-cooled walls may use vertical tube screens or spiral tube coil structures, adaptable to varying heat loads through pipe diameter and material adjustments.
